After recently welcoming back Dr. Jahanara Graf as a full-time general and trauma surgeon, Frances Mahon Deaconess Hospital also welcomed back Dr. Maya Sanchez-Rotunno as a full-time OB/GYN at the beginning of May. Valley View Nursing Home (VVNH) administrator Wes Thompson spoke to the Frances Mahon Deaconess Hospital Board on April 27 requesting consideration to aid the nursing home financially in their operating expenses. The Valley County Community Pool Campaign recently received a generous anonymous donation of $250,000, now making the total raised towards the funding of a new swimming pool in Glasgow, as of May 9, $1,9501,141 of the $3,304,000 goal. On April 20, it was announced the state of Montana will receive $127 million for the second round of competitive water and sewer grants that were secured in the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). The state’s ARPA Infrastructure Advisory Commission approved $118.2 million for 95 water and sewer projects in the state as well as $8.8 million for 34 irrigation projects in the state.
