During their Discussion and Decision meeting on Aug. 3, the Valley County Commissioners in attendance, Commissioner Paul Tweten and Commissioner John Fahlgren, voted to provide Valley View Home another $500,000 appropriation to help keep the nursing home sustainable. During the Glasgow City Council meeting on Aug. 1, the Council gave final approval for an annual two percent increase in water and sewer rates for city customers through September 2027. The initial increase will see the base rate of residential water go up to $28.71 and the sewer base rate will increase to $45.75. The Hinsdale School District held a special election on July 12 asking voters to pass a Hinsdale Building Reserve fund for the high school in the amount of $805,975 and to pass an Elementary Building Reserve Fund in the amount of $332,561. These funds were asked of the voters so the district could replace the 1968 school boiler and the high school ventilation system.
