Glasgow/Long Run Fire Department was paged the night of Oct. 7, at 11:03 p.m., to a fire at the landfill in Glasgow. Upon arrival, heavy fire was observed back in the pit. Response included five fire trucks and eight fire department personnel while Saint Marie Fire Department assisted with bringing a water tender.
