    Glasgow's golfers were in Malta for the Whitewater Invitational on Saturday, April 16. The lady Scotties earned some hardware when they tied with Plentywood for first place with a team total of 359. Leading the scoring for the girls was senior Amy Nelson with 112, followed by Lauren Runningen, 121; Heidi Moon, 126; Lexi Pehlke, 132.     The parking lot of GHS was full of cruisers once again for the Qualifier Meet held Monday, April 18. “The idea [of a qualifying meet] is to limit athlete's events and give them a chance to qualify for state by achieving the standards in their events, “ said head coach Tim Phillips.     Glasgow graduate Rachael Zeiger has taken another step in her collegiate athletic career, signing on to compete at the University of South Dakota. Zeiger will be primarily running middle-distance events in track and field, but will also be competing in cross country for the Coyotes.     By now, you've probably heard about Morgan Guttenberg and her recent efforts to address childhood hunger in Glasgow. As previously reported in the Courier, Guttenberg is in the process of putting together a Snack-Pack program for the elementary students in the Glasgow Public School system.     It was an unusual day for a track meet on Saturday. Unusual because the weather was perfect. There was no rain, snow, or wind. Okay, there was some wind, but it kept the bugs away.     In 2009, former Glasgow resident Dan Burns was found guilty – per plea agreement - of sexual abuse of children, a felony, and was ordered to pay $82,352.23 in restitution to his victim. Seven years later, even after the death of Burns while he was incarcerated for the crime, his victim is still waiting for compensation.     The Glasgow Ice Dawg Bantams (13-14 year olds) finished their regular season with victories against Great Falls and Havre.     It was the Lady Scotties' first showing in a district championship game since 2012. Of course, they were matched up against the undefeated Malta M-Ettes.
