    Following months of opposition, ballot initiatives CI-121 and I-191 both failed to receive the required number of signatures by the June 17, 2022, deadline for the November ballot. CI-121 sought to amend the Montana Constitution to cap residential property taxes in Montana.   • Veteran Service Officers Coming to Glasgow and Malta

    Veteran service officers for the Montana Veterans Affairs will be visiting the following locations and times to meet with veterans who are interested in applying for benefits. If you are interested in applying for benefits, please bring a copy of your discharge paperwork (DD214) with you.     Seven teams made it to Fort Peck this past weekend for the 12th Annual "Chappy" Memorial Co-Ed Softball Tournament and 13 games were played out on John Hahn Field.     Eight teams made it to Fort Peck this weekend for the 55th Annual John Hahn Memorial Men’s Softball Tournament and 14 games were played out on John Hahn Field. Action started bright and early Saturday morning. Eight games were contested on Saturday. The final six teams closed out the action with six more games.     The Glasgow City Council met on April 25 for a regular meeting and discussed water and sewer rates for the next five years. The council agreed to a five-year rate schedule which will increase the base rate for water and sewer two percent each year. The current base rate for a residential water line is $28.15 per month.
