The Highlanders closed out the 2024 “Regular Season” this weekend at the Annual Brodie Gorder Memorial Iron Eagle Team Duals and Individual Tournament in Sidney. The Fort Peck Senior Citizens are sponsoring the eighth annual fun walk/run across the face of Fort Peck Dam on March 16, 2024. It is called “SLAM THE DAM 8” (Run with the Wind). This is a non-competitive walk/run – no times will be kept. Glasgow Elks Lodge #1922 recently made a $2,000 donation to our local Valley Community Emergency Food Bank. The Glasgow Lodge applied for the funds for the donation from the Elks National Foundation (ENF) through their Gratitude Grant Program. Valley County HOPE Project will be launching their “Hearts Of Hope” Campaign on Valentine’s Day! This is based on the previous luminary idea, but with a new twist. Instead of selling luminary bags, we will be selling 8” wooden hearts. A heart can be purchased for $10 in memory or in honor of a friend or loved one.
