Adeline Hammon

Adeline (Kuether) Hammond, 92, of Saco, Mont., died of natural causes at the Phillips County Medical Center in Malta on Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2009.
She was born March 12, 1917, in Saco to Fred and Helen (Benson) Kuether. She was a life-long resident of Saco, and attended school in Saco. She married Milton (Muggs) Mandeville and was later divorced. On Jan. 22, 1947, she married Earl Hammond in Havre.

Adeline enjoyed animals and pets. She raised two bum lambs and had chickens, dogs and cats. She came to the rescue of many animals. She had a special banana bread she made and shared with many.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Hammond; a son, Bob Mandeville; a son-in-law, Clyde Daellenbach; brothers, Roland, Charlie, Clyde and Clifford; a nephew, Jim Prestbo; and a sister, Pearl Bryson, and her husband, Wilbur Bryson.

Survivors include one son, Fred Hammond, and his wife, Gayle, of Saco; one daughter, Bonnie Daellenbach of Billings; a daughter-in-law, Alice Mandeville, of Miles City; one niece, Patsy Prestbo, of Great Falls; one sister, Annabell Prestbo, of Hi-Line Retirement Center in Malta; and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, Sept. 21, at 2 p.m. at the Saco Methodist Church, with interment in the Grandview Cemetery in Saco. Memorials are suggested to go to the Saco Methodist Church.
Bell Mortuary of Glasgow was in charge of arrangements.
